The app complies with leading industry standards and uses the highest privacy and security authentication supported by your email provider.
Some email providers such as Gmail support OAuth 2.0, which's an authentication protocol that allows you to approve the app interacting with your email provider on your behalf without giving away your password. With OAuth 2.0, you never have to share your email credentials with the app. You simply delegate access using OAuth 2.0 in a secure manner. At any time, you can login to your email provider and review the access you have granted and revoke the permission given to the app.
The app's IMAP connection uses Secure Sockets Layer encryption (SSL) and performs authentication over a secure channel. Passwords are heavily encrypted.
